KUCTE Kulakkada hindi association MIHIR 2K21 presents a webinar in association with national reading day june 19 on 19/06/2021 via google meet at 10 am. Meeting star with the prayer and the welcome speech is done by Mrs. Jeena rani teacher assistant professor in hindi. Teacher explained myth behind the reading day. Presidential address is done by college principal Dr. Renuka sony teacher. Teacher starts the speech by stating the words of kunjunni mash. The theme presentation is done by the resource  Dr. P. G. Sasikala, HOD and associate professor in hindi , SN college kollam. Teacher explains the importance of reading day. Teacher says the story of Abraham Lincoln about the importance of books. Reading is a probe of knowledge. We have to acquire the knowledge through books like ants carrying their food. Teachers has the role to give new knowledge to the students. Reading consist of 3 R's, they are Reveal, Riview and Remind. Through this we can expand the reading habits. According to kabirdas, life is like a bubble in water. Reading is of 4 types - skimming, scanning, extensive reading, intensive reading. We have to encourage intensive reading. Reading is the music of life. The felicitation address is done by Dr. Vimal kumar sir, assistant professor in general education. Vote of thanks is done by amrutha s.

second spell teaching practice- weekend reflection 8

                   This is the final week of our second spell teaching practice. This week gives a lot of experiences. At this moment I missed lot of my students, those classes, activities etc. This second spell teaching practice is entirely different when compared with the first spell teaching practice. A lot of changes happened in my teaching. I learned to reinforce the students. I learned to manage the classroom properly. I learned how to deal the students. Also I understand the responsibilities of a teacher. We got different duties apart from teaching. Also during the second spell I got many substitution period in up classes.
