second spell teaching practice- weekend reflection 7

             This was our seventh week of teaching practice. Now I feel a lot of changes happened in my teaching. I have taken a lot of classes in three divisions. Also this week we have taken extra classes to finish the topics because the coming Thursday all of the students have the onam exam. So that we have to complete the topics. Also in this week along with the class we have conducted the small unit test and revision classes for their exam. And i have helped them to solve the previous years question papers for the preparation of exination. 

            Along with that we have taken some additional duties, this week we have the duty to serve the food at the noon . And also I have taken substitution classes at the up section. So that i have prepared some general knowledge question, some games, word puzzles for making the class interest. In some evenings we have taken extra classes for completing the portions.

             Also in this week I have prepared my innovative work , it was based on class 8 chemistry topic. I have taken the second chapter Basic constituents of matter. That innovative work is a self learning material for them to revise the topics. For them it is difficult to remember the names of elements based on country, continent, colour, scientists, planet, satellite etc. Also they face difficulties in remembering the symbols of elements, that's why I have prepared this innovative work for them. To make interest I have used several colour papers in that to make igvas attractive. They enjoyed the revision class with that self learning material. 

           Also I this week I can manage the class properly. And i have used videos for showing some experiments and to get an application level experience to them. I think technology oriented class is more effective. Because all the students observed very carefully. Also while giving activity card first they discuss the question with their friends and by encouraging them the immediately find the answers. Now my class is completely pupil oriented class. Also I can manage the time properly in every class. And by giving the revision class they got a second chance to ask their doubts. I have clarified all the doubts raised by the students and apart from the text book problems I have given so many extra questions for to understand the concept clearly. 

            Also while teaching the concept inertia I have used video presentation and i have explained the concept inertia by showing our daily life situations. It helped them a lot. With all these this week gives a good experience to me. A lot of improvements occurred in my teaching practice days. Here are some moments of this week.
